L'evoluzione della positività sessuale
In seguito ai movimenti per l'amore libero degli anni '60, la "sex positivity" è diventata un termine di moda comune nei media, nei film di successo e nella vita di tutti i giorni. La sex positivity, in sostanza, intende abbracciare le tendenze sessuali, la salute sessuale e un rapporto positivo con tutto ciò che riguarda il "sesso", ma la comprensione di cosa significhi essere "sex-positive" si trasforma con il passare delle generazioni e delle norme sociali.
Parliamo di sesso
Nel mondo di oggi, è molto più facile trovare risorse educative incentrate sulla salute e sul piacere sessuale, e molti attribuiscono alla sex positivity il merito di aver aperto queste strade. Le donne parlano apertamente della loro vita sessuale con gli amici, e gli uomini fanno lo stesso. Questo significa che il sesso sta diventando un argomento normalizzato nelle cerchie sociali, consentendo a persone di ogni età e genere di porre le domande che desiderano.
Hollywood contro la vita reale
Oltre ad accogliere il sesso come un aspetto positivo della vita, anziché come un segreto sporco da nascondere sotto il tappeto, si è cercato di sfatare la rappresentazione hollywoodiana delle relazioni e degli atti sessuali. Il pubblico non accettava più l'idea che il sesso dovesse essere un atto romantico e impeccabile. Il sesso è disordinato, rumoroso, divertente, scomodo, piacevole, imbarazzante e tutto ciò che sta nel mezzo! Il sesso non ha bisogno di seguire un copione o di apparire in un certo modo, è semplicemente sesso.
La positività sessuale è andata troppo oltre?
Con l'inizio dell'esplorazione del mondo del sesso da parte delle nuove generazioni, la sex positivity gioca un ruolo fondamentale nella percezione culturale del sesso. Alcuni criticano il movimento della "sex positivity" per aver esagerato, incoraggiando le persone ad avere rapporti sessuali così intensi da aver perso il suo significato e trasformato il termine in uno scudo per trattare le persone come oggetti.
Qualsiasi argomento legato al sesso può essere controverso, poiché il sesso è una questione molto personale che viene percepita in modo diverso da persone diverse, e questo vale anche per la sex positivity. Anche se si pensa che la sex positivity sia andata troppo oltre, la realtà è che ci sono più risorse che mai per imparare a conoscere il sesso, più modi per accedere a prodotti per la salute sessuale, ed è un argomento di conversazione più ampiamente accettato!
La positività sessuale abbatte i muri
Avere un rapporto positivo con il sesso è diverso per ognuno, ma la vera positività sessuale consiste nel comprendere che ciò che per qualcuno sembra una vita sessuale sana, potrebbe non esserlo per un'altra persona. Finché non accetteremo che un sesso felice e sano può assumere molte forme, avremo ancora molto lavoro da fare.
Siamo convinti che la salute sessuale sia la salute dell'uomo e che il piacere sessuale sia parte integrante della salute umana. Tutti dovrebbero avere accesso a strumenti e risorse per sentirsi sicuri ed entusiasti delle proprie attività sessuali. Per noi, la positività sessuale è un pilastro fondamentale della vita e, come dimostra la storia, più velocemente la società la accetterà, meglio sarà per tutti noi. Il sesso apporta grandi benefici alla salute, sia mentale che fisica, quindi abbracceremo ogni tipo di vita sessuale felice e sana, anche se potrebbe apparire diversa dalla nostra!
