Da bambino, una delle sensazioni più belle del mondo era quando riuscivi a convincere i tuoi genitori che dovevi restare a casa da scuola.
Solo perché ormai sei adulto non significa che non puoi più marinare la scuola ogni tanto.
Abbiamo tutti bisogno di una giornata tutta per noi per riorganizzarci, ripartire e goderci la vita finché possiamo.
7 scuse da usare quando hai bisogno di una giornata per te
Prendere la decisione di saltare il lavoro per un giorno può essere un po' snervante. Tuttavia, con la scusa giusta e il modo migliore per comunicarla, può essere un processo indolore sia per te che per il tuo capo.
Scusa n. 1: non mi sento bene
Esempio : "Oggi non posso venire al lavoro. Mi sono svegliato con la febbre e mi sento stordito e debole."
Attenzione : il tuo capo potrebbe chiederti un certificato medico. Puoi dirgli che il tuo medico non aveva appuntamenti disponibili, ma potrebbe non lasciarselo sfuggire. Inoltre, cerca di non usare la scusa dell'intossicazione alimentare. È abusata e difficile da credere.
Scusa n. 2: niente assistenza all'infanzia
Esempio : "Mi dispiace tanto. La babysitter, la tata o l'asilo nido di mia figlia non possono badare a lei oggi. Non potrò venire al lavoro."
Attenzione : con questa scusa il tuo capo potrebbe chiederti di lavorare da casa. Puoi replicare: "Non sarò in grado di concentrarmi e svolgere efficacemente il mio lavoro, prendendomi cura anche di mio figlio".
Scusa n. 3: bambino malato
Esempio : "Ciao ____, mio figlio si è ammalato ieri sera e non è migliorato. Dovrò restare a casa per prendermi cura di lui/lei."
Attenzione : il tuo capo potrebbe chiederti di trovare un familiare o un amico che stia con tuo figlio. Preparati una scusa per non farlo.
Scusa n. 4: emergenza familiare
Esempio: "Ciao _____. Stamattina sono stato avvisato di un'emergenza familiare che richiederà la mia attenzione. Mi dispiace, ma oggi non potrò venire al lavoro.
Attenzione : il tuo capo potrebbe chiederti qual è l'emergenza. Non ha il diritto di saperlo. Puoi dire: "Mi dispiace. È una questione delicata e non mi sento a mio agio a condividerla".
Scusa n. 5: animale domestico malato
Esempio : "Mi dispiace tanto, ma il mio (tipo di animale domestico) ha mangiato qualcosa ieri sera e da allora è stato male. Devo prendermi un giorno di ferie per portarlo dal veterinario."
Attenzione : non tutti amano gli animali. Il tuo capo potrebbe insistere perché tu porti il tuo animale dal veterinario dopo il lavoro. In tal caso, puoi dire: "Il mio veterinario può visitarlo solo alle (indicare un orario) e mi sento a disagio a lasciarlo incustodito prima o dopo la visita".
Scusa n. 6: problemi con l'auto
Esempio : "C'è qualcosa che non va nella mia auto. Devo prendere un giorno di ferie dal lavoro per portarla a riparare."
Attenzione : il tuo capo potrebbe chiederti di essere più specifico. Puoi dire che la tua auto non si avvia, che il motore produce un rumore stridente o che hai una o due gomme a terra.
Scusa n. 7: Giornata della salute mentale
Esempio: "Oggi devo prendermi una giornata di salute mentale". Oppure, se stai comunicando questo messaggio la sera prima, puoi dire: "Domani mi prenderò una giornata di salute mentale".
Attenzione: la maggior parte delle aziende e delle imprese comprende la necessità di giornate dedicate alla salute mentale. Alcune le includono persino nelle loro politiche di ferie. Se il tuo capo si oppone alla tua richiesta, puoi dire che ti senti esausto e stressato e che vuoi approfittare della giornata per trovare un consulente o un terapeuta.

5 cose da tenere a mente
- Comunica la tua necessità di assentarti dal lavoro la sera prima o il mattino presto possibile. Più tempo dai al tuo capo per adattarsi, meno si arrabbierà.
- Mantieni la semplicità . Non entrare nei dettagli sul motivo per cui ti prendi il giorno libero. Scegli una scusa e comunicala in modo efficace, con il minor numero possibile di retroscena e informazioni.
- Evita scuse che cambiano la vita o che sono memorabili (come un lutto in famiglia), perché in tal caso il tuo capo vorrà contattarti al tuo ritorno al lavoro per capire come ti senti. Questo ti costringerà a mentire di più, complicando ulteriormente le cose.
- Scegli il momento giusto. Cerca di non assentarti dal lavoro in un giorno in cui sai che sarai molto impegnato o che hai una scadenza in scadenza quel giorno o a breve. Aspetta e marina la scuola in un giorno in cui la situazione è relativamente tranquilla o subito dopo aver rispettato una scadenza importante.
