L'évolution de la positivité sexuelle
Suite aux mouvements d'amour libre des années 1960, la « sex-positivité » est devenue un terme à la mode, utilisé dans les médias, les films populaires et la vie quotidienne. Fondamentalement, la « sex-positivité » vise à englober les tendances sexuelles, la santé sexuelle et une relation positive à tout ce qui touche au « sexe », mais la compréhension de ce que signifie être « sex-positif » évolue au fil des générations et des normes sociétales.

De nos jours, il est beaucoup plus facile de trouver des ressources éducatives axées sur la santé et le plaisir sexuels, et beaucoup attribuent cette ouverture à la sexualité positive. Les femmes parlent ouvertement de leur vie sexuelle avec leurs amis, et les hommes font de même. Ainsi, la sexualité devient un sujet banalisé dans les cercles sociaux, permettant aux personnes de tous âges et de tous genres de poser leurs questions.
Hollywood contre la vraie vie
Parallèlement à la présentation du sexe comme un aspect positif de la vie, et non comme un secret honteux à étouffer, s'est opérée une volonté de démystifier la représentation hollywoodienne des relations et des actes sexuels. Le public n'acceptait plus l'idée que le sexe devait être un acte romantique et fluide. Le sexe est salissant, bruyant, amusant, inconfortable, agréable, gênant, et tout ce qui se trouve entre les deux ! Le sexe n'a pas besoin de suivre un scénario ni d'avoir une apparence particulière, c'est juste du sexe.
La positivité sexuelle est-elle allée trop loin ?
Alors que les nouvelles générations commencent à explorer le monde du sexe, la sex-positivité joue un rôle majeur dans la perception culturelle du sexe. Certains critiquent le mouvement de « sex-positivité » pour avoir poussé les choses trop loin, encourageant les gens à avoir des relations sexuelles si fréquentes qu'il a perdu son sens et transformé le terme en un bouclier pour traiter les gens comme des objets.
Tout ce qui touche à la sexualité peut prêter à controverse, car le sexe est une affaire très personnelle, perçue différemment selon les personnes, et c'est également le cas de la sexualité positive. Même si l'on pense que la sexualité positive est allée trop loin, la réalité est qu'il existe plus de ressources que jamais pour s'informer sur la sexualité, plus de moyens d'accéder à des produits de santé sexuelle, et c'est un sujet de conversation plus largement accepté !
La positivité sexuelle fait tomber les murs
Avoir une relation positive avec la sexualité est différent pour chacun, mais la véritable positivité sexuelle consiste à comprendre que ce qui semble être une vie sexuelle saine pour quelqu'un d'autre peut ne pas l'être pour quelqu'un d'autre. Tant que nous n'aurons pas compris qu'une vie sexuelle heureuse et saine peut prendre de nombreuses formes, nous aurons encore du chemin à parcourir.
Nous sommes convaincus que la santé sexuelle est la santé humaine, et que le plaisir sexuel en fait partie. Chacun devrait avoir accès aux outils et aux ressources nécessaires pour se sentir en sécurité et enthousiaste dans ses activités sexuelles. Pour nous, une sexualité positive est un pilier essentiel de la vie et, comme l'histoire l'a montré, plus vite la société l'acceptera, mieux nous nous porterons tous. Les relations sexuelles présentent de nombreux bienfaits pour la santé, tant mentale que physique. Nous devons donc adopter une vie sexuelle épanouissante et épanouissante, même si elle peut sembler différente de la nôtre !
