How Frequently Should Bodybuilders Have Sex?

Sex burns a lot of calories, and at the same time, it has a direct relationship with muscle-building, too.
So, if you’re a bodybuilder, or say an athlete, a gymnastic, or any other kind of person who does a LOT of physical activity, does sex ruin your performance?
Well, if this question has been bothering you recently, we have put together this post, especially for you! Read till the end to figure out how much sex is too much for you.
But first, let’s make sure you aren’t confusing the term “bodybuilding” with “fitness”.
Bodybuilding and fitness — are they different?
They are!
Fitness is something everyone should pursue. It’s a life necessity; everyone should be doing at least a bit of workout every day to keep themselves healthy.
If you’re hitting the gym 5 times a week, working out, and taking your proteins, you’re pursuing “fitness”. It’s not called bodybuilding.
Bodybuilding is when you go out of the way and pursue muscle-building as a career. As a bodybuilder, you might have to take supplements that aren’t usually recommended for most people. Your muscle size would be enormous, only so you can compete in various competitions or show them off on social media and build a career out of it.
If you’re categorizing yourself as a fitness freak, there’s no need to worry about your sex frequency. You can do it as much as you like, as frequently as you like.
However, if the definition of bodybuilding fits well with you, keep reading, as we’ve got some interesting pieces of information for you.
So, how much sex is too much for bodybuilders?
Your body needs testosterone to build muscles at a faster pace. At the same time, you need testosterone to perform in the bed, too.
On average, your body takes around 24-48 hours to regain the lost testosterone after ejaculation. So, if you have sex today and go to work out after 5 hours, your muscles won’t grow that much. The impact won’t be too drastic, that’s why it doesn’t matter for normal people who just work out to stay fit.
However, if you’re a bodybuilder, every bit of testosterone matters to you. So, it’s not recommended to have sex the same day you’re going to the gym. But — as you’re a bodybuilder, you’re probably hitting the gym 6 days a week.
So, we recommended having sex only 1-2 times per week.
This rate would give your body plenty of time to recover its testosterone to build muscle. At the same time, it’s just enough to keep your sexual desires under control.
But, don’t hold yourself back…
A piece of advice: don’t hold your sexual desires too much.
If you’re refraining from more frequent sex just because you want to build muscle, you aren’t doing it right!
Your body needs to stay in the optimum state to build muscles. If you’re holding yourself back from sex, your body is likely to suffer from physical stress. After all, sex is like food for your body; it’s a basic necessity.
So, don’t yourself back if you’re sexually more active. Have sex whenever you feel like it, but refrain from doing it too often.
Final thoughts
Your body needs testosterone to build muscle, and you need testosterone to perform in bed.
So, you need to find the right balance between the two to excel in both activities. After all, you don’t want to get embarrassed in any of the two, do you?

For the past three years, I’ve been involved in Forex trading, constantly learning new strategies and honing my skills. Along the way, I’ve come across many opportunities, but one particular online trading contest left me shaken and wiser. What appeared to be a legitimate contest with a grand prize turned out to be an elaborate scam. I’d like to share my experience to help others avoid a similar trap. It started with an online ad promoting a Forex contest. The hosting company seemed reputable, the prize was attractive, and the website looked professional. Eager to join, I paid a $1,000 registration fee. Soon after, I got an email saying I’d qualified for the next round but to proceed, I needed to cover $2,000 in shipping costs for the prize. Believing it was worth it, I paid. But after that, communication stopped. No prize. No response. Suspicious, I started researching and found out that many others had been caught in the same scheme. I had fallen victim to a professional scam and lost a total of $10,000. Feeling overwhelmed, I began looking for help. That’s when I found a digital recovery service specializing in online scams. I provided all my evidence, and they began working on my case. Thanks to their expertise, they were able to trace the transaction and recover my funds. This experience taught me the importance of verifying everything before making financial commitments online. I hope my story raises awareness about online trading scams and helps others avoid them. Be cautious if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
